I was co-chair [with Marilyn Charles of Austen Riggs Center] of The Association for the Psychoanalysis of Culture and Society [APCS] (2010-2016), as well as co-chair with Marilyn of our annual conference (2009-2016). Since 2016 I have been Executive Director of APCS. The Association is an international organization which holds an annual conference every Fall. We hold an annual academic conference at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The conference and the accompanying journal [of which I am co-editor], Psychoanalysis, Culture & Society,
provide spaces for psychoanalysts across disciplines and academics from a variety of disciplines to engage in vigorous debate around the origins of social problems and the nature of culture. Starting with the 2018 issue, along with colleague Dr. Angie Voela of University of East London, I have been co-editor of our journal. Please visit apcsweb.net for information on the organization, and click on the journal title for details on our publishing project.
