Chloe Civin

Chloe is entering her first year in the doctoral program at the Derner Institute, Adelphi University.  She received her BA from Mount Holyoke College, where she majored in Philosophy and minored in Film Studies.  She was previously enrolled in Adelphi University’s masters program in General Psychology. She served as a student intern under Dr. Kirkland Vaughans at the Derner Hempstead Child Clinic, seeing young children in play therapy.  Chloe’s interests are in psychoanalysis, interdisciplinary studies, postcolonial studies, intersectionality, and social justice.  Her current research interests include cross national and cross racial adoption.  She looks forward to bringing a feminist and interdisciplinary perspective to her work.
