Miles R. Beattie is a first-year doctoral student in Clinical Psychology at Adelphi University. Prior to joining this program, Miles received his master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University, where he concentrated in psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, worked as a researcher on questions of religious experience, and completed his thesis on the use of scansion in analytic sessions. Miles’ scholarly interests are in Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalysis and critical childhood studies.
