I am a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Program at the Derner School of Psychology, Adelphi University. I have received my M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University. My research interests include existential issues and spirituality in traumatic experiences, especially how individuals find meaningfulness in their lives after their traumatic experiences.
I am currently writing my dissertation about the lives of survivors of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, who now live in the US. I am specifically focusing on how their views and attitudes towards their lives might have transformed over the years.
My clinical interests include suicidality, psychosis, trauma, and diversity issues impacting on one’s psychological states (race, classes, genders, cultures, etc.)
